Puglia had been on my bucket list for quite some time when we finally decided to go. It is one of the most Instagrammed places of all time and I had serious FOMO. Here’s what I knew…it had beautiful beaches, amazing architecture, olive groves for miles and was situated in the southern part of the country which I was dying to see (It’s actually the heel of the boot of Italy). We hopped on a plane from Rome and a short hour flight later we were landing in Brindisi. From there it was a quick shot over to the west coast where we spent about a week soaking up the beautiful sea of Porto Cesario. Then we moved the troops a bit further inland where we spent another week exploring the very different landscape of Ceglie Messapica. We stayed in a private Trullo, ate cheese till we burst and hiked around the olive groves. By the end of our trip we were ready to invest in an old Trullo and start our dream project, it was that good!
